Implementing the Sendai GAP: Accelerating the Achievement of the Sendai Framework Through Gender-responsive Disaster Risk Reduction

Launched in March 2024, the Gender Action Plan to Support Implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 (Sendai GAP) aims to accelerate implementation of the Sendai Framework by substantially increasing resource allocations, activities and impacts of gender-responsive disaster risk reduction and substantially decreasing gender-related disaster risk by 2030. Seven months after the launch of the Sendai GAP, this working session will foster partnerships between diverse disaster risk reduction and gender stakeholders by sharing practical insights and case studies on the Sendai GAP implementation.
