Advancing Equity: Scaling Up Disaster Risk Management in the Health Sector Through Women in Leadership

During this session, WHO and partners seek to illustrate the role that the health sector plays to scale-up disaster risk management and resilience and collaboration with all sectors to be sure that no one is left behind. This panel session will bring women's voices to the forefront of building disaster risk management and resilience through a health lens. 

For the 1-hour panel, panelists will share insights and exchange on the following topics:

  • current state of disaster preparedness and resilience in the health sector within Asia-Pacific, with special consideration on gender inclusion and equity.
  • share experienced challenges and navigating solutions as female leaders in the disaster health field, and 
  • reflect on growing the future and how best to scale-up disaster in health and empower the up-and-coming workforce.

Audience members will have opportunities to ask panelists questions within the session.
